Local search for builders, remodelers and design firms
When someone in your market starts looking for a firm like yours, we make sure what they find is your work, in your words, on the first screen.
Somebody in your market searched for a builder this morning and picked from three names on a map.
That search happened whether or not you knew about it, and it will happen again tomorrow. The firms on that map are not always the best ones. They are the ones Google has enough information about to feel confident recommending.
What we do
Your Google Business Profile
We set it up properly, or rebuild it, with the categories, service areas, photos and posts that tell Google what you do and where. This is the single biggest factor in whether you appear in the map results at all.
Your local search presence
We handle the listings, citations and on-site details that make your firm legible to Google across your market, and we build the pages that give a search somewhere to land.
Content that answers real searches
Buyers ask questions long before they call. We write the pages and posts that answer them, which is what puts you in front of those buyers and increasingly what puts you into AI answers when someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation.
Reviews
We ask for them at the right moment in a project and we answer them quickly. Reviews move you up in local results, and they settle the question a buyer is actually asking, which is whether you are worth the risk. Not a campaign, a habit that pays for years.
What this looks like in practice
Top three in the local Map Pack within 30 days, from a profile that did not exist in January.
650 buyers found the profile and 177 took action. A 27 percent action rate on calls, clicks, and directions.
Website traffic grew 43 percent year over year.
We took on a Raleigh custom builder in January with no Google Business Profile at all. Not a neglected one. None.
Alongside that: search visibility went from 4 indexed terms to 41, and 13 new five-star reviews came in through the review system.
No advertising spend. A foundation built once that keeps working.
How this connects to everything else
Getting found is only worth something if there is something good to find.
A search sends someone to you. What they land on is the work we documented: the video of the house, the photographs, the project pages. That is why the same partner does both. A search company with no footage is sending people to a thin page, and a production company with no search is making work nobody sees.
Then every month we read what happened. Which searches brought people in, what they looked at, what they did next. That tells us what to publish and what to shoot.

Local search FAQ
What is local SEO for home builders?
It is the work that decides whether your firm shows up when someone nearby searches for a builder, remodeler or designer. Your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your listings across the web, and the pages on your site that answer what people are searching for.
Does this work if my website is not very good?
Partly. A profile can rank without a strong site, which is how Tobacco Road got results quickly. But the site is where people land after they find you, so a weak one caps what the rest of it can do. We will tell you if that is what is holding you back.
How long does it take to show up?
It depends on your market and where you are starting from. Tobacco Road reached the top three in the local map results within 30 days from a profile that did not exist. A competitive market with established firms takes longer. We report every month so you can see it moving.
Do reviews really affect where I rank?
Yes, and they affect whether someone calls after they find you. Recency matters as much as the number. Ten reviews from this year do more than forty from 2019.
What about ChatGPT and AI search?
People now ask AI tools for recommendations the same way they used to search. Those tools read plain text on your site and information about you elsewhere on the web. The same work that makes you legible to Google is what makes you quotable to them.
How much does this cost?
We work on a monthly retainer, and search is one part of it alongside the video and photography and the monthly reporting. The Services page has current tiers.
Who actually does the work?
Kent Belle runs every project. He spent more than a decade at Ferguson Enterprises working on how building products get talked about, with senior production credits on national broadcast campaigns. The crew changes to fit the work, the standard doesn’t. You are not handed to an account manager after the first meeting.
Do you work outside Raleigh?
Yes. We work across North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic, including Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Richmond and Northern Virginia.
