SEO for architects and architecture firms
When a client or a developer starts looking for an architect, we make sure what they find is your buildings, explained in your words, on the first page.
Someone searched for an architect in your city this week and judged the whole field by what showed up first.
Most architecture firms win work by referral, and their websites are built like portfolios: big images, very few words. That looks good to a person and tells Google almost nothing. SEO for architects is the work of giving search engines enough plain language about your projects, your services and your market that they can put you in front of the right client.
What we do
Project pages that can be found
Every project gets a page with words on it: the site, the brief, the constraints and the decisions. That is what lets a search for a building type or a neighborhood land on your work instead of a directory.
Your Google Business Profile
Set up with the right categories, service areas and photographs, so your firm appears when someone nearby searches for an architect or an architecture firm.
Content that answers what clients ask
Clients research cost, process, timelines and permits long before they call. We write the pages that answer those questions, which is also what gets a firm quoted when someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation.
Reviews, awards and press
Reviews from past clients, press coverage and award listings tell Google your firm is real and respected. We ask for reviews at the right moment, and we make sure the recognition you already have links back to your site.
What this looks like in practice
Top three in the local Map Pack within 30 days, from a profile that did not exist in January.
650 buyers found the profile and 177 took action. A 27 percent action rate on calls, clicks, and directions.
Website traffic grew 43 percent year over year.
We took on a Raleigh custom builder in January with no Google Business Profile at all. Not a neglected one. None.
Alongside that: search visibility went from 4 indexed terms to 41, and 13 new five-star reviews came in through the review system.
No advertising spend. A foundation built once that keeps working.
How this connects to everything else
Getting found is only worth something if there is something good to find.
A search sends someone to you. What they land on is the work we documented: the video of the house, the photographs, the project pages. That is why the same partner does both. A search company with no footage is sending people to a thin page, and a production company with no search is making work nobody sees.
Then every month we read what happened. Which searches brought people in, what they looked at, what they did next. That tells us what to publish and what to shoot.

SEO for architects FAQ
What is SEO for architects?
It is the work that decides whether your firm shows up when someone searches for an architect, a building type or a project like the ones you do. Your project pages, your Google Business Profile, your reviews and press, and the pages on your site that answer what clients search for.
Our site is mostly images. Is that a problem?
It is the most common problem we see. Search engines read text, and a portfolio of photographs with a project name under each gives them very little to go on. We keep the images and add the words around them, so the site still looks like yours.
How long does it take to show up?
It depends on your market and where you are starting from. Local map results can move within weeks. Project and service pages take longer to rank, usually a few months. We report every month so you can see it moving.
Do you work with residential and commercial firms?
Yes. The search work is the same idea for both. What changes is who is searching: a homeowner looking for a residential architect, or a developer or facilities lead looking for a firm that has done their kind of building.
What about ChatGPT and AI search?
People now ask AI tools for recommendations the same way they used to search. Those tools read plain text on your site and information about you elsewhere on the web. The same work that makes you legible to Google is what makes you quotable to them.
Do you work outside Raleigh?
Yes. We work across North Carolina and the Mid-Atlantic, including Durham, Chapel Hill, Cary, Richmond and Northern Virginia.
How much does this cost?
We work on a monthly retainer, and search is one part of it alongside the video and photography and the monthly reporting. The Services page has current tiers.
